My Friend Tried Filipino Food for the First Time!

Описание к видео My Friend Tried Filipino Food for the First Time!

My British-Latino friend’s first time trying Filipino food 🇵🇭 I’m not Filipino, but I love Filipino food and since my friend and I were meeting up in Woodside… a Little Manila food crawl was perfect! I took Patrick to the following spots:

Dollar Hits (📍3904 64th St, Queens, NY)
All the skewers at Dollar Hits are $1.50 and we got an assorted spread of BBQchicken, pig ear, isaw, and longganisa. There is also a steam table with hot food. Shoutout to Celine who for being super welcoming and nice. Celine suggested Pat should try Balut so we gave it a go!

Renee’s Kitchenette (📍6914 Roosevelt Ave, Queens, NY)
This spot has been around since 1992 and continues to offer comforting Filipino dishes. We ordered some of my personal favorites – Sisig, Beef Sinigang, Oxtail and Kare Kare. The kind staff at Renee’s also had us try their delicious Halo Halo!

Purple Dough (📍304 39th Ave. Queens, NY)
Purple Dough makes desserts inspired by Filipino flavors and ingredients. Their Ube Leche Flan and Pandan Coconut, Ube, and Mango cannoli satisfied our dessert craving. Plus, some coffee goes perfectly with their desserts.

Besides these spots in Little Manila – there are various awesome Filipino spots around NYC. Let us know if you have a favorite place!
